Privacy Notice
Last updated: 30 June 2026
The Market is operated by Juncture Media, LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). This notice explains what we collect when you request access to The Market, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have. It applies to visitors worldwide, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
What we collect
- Email address — when you request access to The Market.
- Survey responses — only if you choose to answer: a name or handle you provide, and your selections for background, risk style, motive, and how you heard about The Market, plus whether you want builder/pro access. These are voluntary and self-reported.
- Referral token — a random code that links your visit to whoever invited you. We never collect a third party’s email address; people you invite enter their own.
- Contact-form details — when you use our contact form: your reason for contact, name, email address, and message.
Why we collect it
To contact you when access to The Market opens in waves, to operate the invitation and referral mechanic, and to understand who is interested in The Market. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Legal basis (GDPR)
We rely on your consent, given when you submit your email, and on our legitimate interest in launching The Market. You may withdraw consent at any time (see Your rights). Our use of bot protection (Turnstile) on the access and waitlist forms relies on our legitimate interest in keeping those forms secure and free of automated abuse.
How long we keep it
Until The Market publicly launches or for 24 months, whichever comes first, after which access-request data is deleted or anonymized unless you have become an active participant in The Market.
Contact-form submissions are retained for up to 12 months, after which our form provider deletes them automatically. A request to delete your data also removes the related contact-form submission.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and you may opt out of further contact at any time. California residents have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do neither). EU/UK residents have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. To exercise any right, reach us through our contact form; we respond within 30 days and never charge for a verifiable request.
Cookies
The Market sets no cookies until you accept analytics in the consent banner. If you accept, we use Google Analytics, which sets the following first-party cookies:
- _ga: distinguishes unique visitors; expires after 13 months.
- _ga_<id>: persists Google Analytics session state; expires after 13 months.
If you decline, or if your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is collected. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer.
Sharing
We use a small number of service providers to operate the waitlist: Kit (email delivery), Supabase (database hosting), and Cloudflare (bot and abuse protection on our access and waitlist forms, via Cloudflare Turnstile). They process data only on our instructions and may not use it for their own purposes. We also use a form-processing service (Basin) to operate our contact form and Google reCAPTCHA to protect it from spam. They process data only on our instructions (reCAPTCHA under Google’s own terms) and do not use it for their own purposes. We do not sell your data.
Where your data is processed (international transfers)
Juncture Media, LLC is based in the United States, and our service providers, Kit (email delivery) and Supabase (database hosting), store and process data on servers in the United States. If you access The Market from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, your personal data is transferred to the United States. Where we make such transfers we rely on appropriate safeguards under GDPR Chapter V, including the EU-US, UK, and Swiss Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified and the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, together with a data processing agreement with each provider. You may request a copy of the relevant safeguards through our contact form.
Contact-form submissions are processed by Basin in Canada and the United States, and reCAPTCHA data by Google in the United States. Canada benefits from a European Commission adequacy decision; the US providers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses. Our bot-protection provider, Cloudflare, processes verification signals in the United States. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US, UK, and Swiss Data Privacy Framework and also relies on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, under a data processing agreement.
Spam protection (reCAPTCHA)
Our contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which collects hardware and software information to distinguish humans from automated abuse. Use is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Bot protection (Turnstile)
Our access and waitlist forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which analyzes signals such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, and interaction patterns to tell humans from automated abuse. It is used only for security, never for advertising or cross-site tracking, and in its standard mode sets no cookies. Use is subject to Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Policy.
